Statement from Huntington Republican Committee Chairman Tom McNally

As Chairman of the Huntington Republican Committee, I want to set the record straight regarding the false narrative started by Newsday and amplified on social media regarding the Working Family Party votes on November 4, 2025. The claims being circulated are simply false.
The irrefutable facts, supported by publicly available election records, establish that Maria Delgado is a long-time registered member of the Working Families Party, registered to vote in New York State since 1984. Records confirm that Maria Delgado voted in the June 2025 Working Families Party primary, where the only two candidates for supervisor were Cooper Macco and Maria Delgado. Public records also show that Maria Delgado voted in person on November 4, 2025.
In addition, Maria Delgado voted in the 2021 Working Families Party primary. The claim that she did not know she was on the ballot is not credible. Even more troubling, Newsday ignored the very public records it obtained through its own Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request — records that clearly confirm Ms. Delgado’s participation in these elections. Publishing an unverified statement from a person confronted in her driveway, while disregarding official documents in their possession, is irresponsible, misleading, and beneath the standards of professional journalism.
The truth is straightforward: members of the Working Families Party selected their own slate of candidates instead of the Democrats’ preferred choices. The Democratic Party ran against them in June — and they lost. What we are seeing now is post-election spin and sour grapes.
I unequivocally support Suffolk County Republican Party Leader Jesse Garcia’s “Facts and Folly” statement. His message is exactly right: the media must be held accountable when they choose narrative over fact. Leader Garcia’s call for honesty and fairness reflects the same principles that guide the Huntington Republican Committee — integrity, transparency, and service to the community.
Here in Huntington, we will continue doing what we’ve always done — building a transparent, grassroots organization that recruits qualified, community-minded candidates and works every day to earn the trust of our residents.

Chairman, Huntington Republican Committee
Honoring John F. Fox for His Service and Dedication

The Huntington Republican Committee is honored to recognize John F. Fox, United States Army veteran and longtime committee member, with a banner on Main Street in Huntington Village. We thank John for his service to our country and his many contributions to our community.
On behalf of a grateful committee and fellow veteran, Supervisor Ed Smyth, we extend our sincere appreciation to John, and to the Huntington Kiwanis for their support.
Congratulations to Town Supervisor Ed Smyth - Grand Marshal of the 92nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade

We wish to congratulate our Town Supervisor, Ed Smyth, on being named Grand Marshal of the 92nd Annual Huntington St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will take place on March 8, 2026.
Presented by the Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Huntington St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Long Island’s oldest and largest, with hundreds marching in the parade and thousands of spectators in attendance each year. It is also one of the most important cultural events in the town, as pipe bands, dancers, elected officials, and others march along the Route 110 corridor.
Ed is proud of his Irish heritage and his selection as Grand Marshal is a reflection on his dedication to public service as a Town Councilman and as Town Supervisor. As Supervisor, Ed has worked hard to hold the line on taxes, improve the quality of life, and preserve the environment. He has maintained a AAA bond rating since taking office, secured funding to build sewers, fix our roads, and create a walkable downtown.
Mark your calendars and come out for this special day.

Surrounded by local elected officials and a packed room of Republican committee members at the American Legion in Huntington, Thomas McNally was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Huntington Town Republican Committee, reaffirming his leadership at a pivotal moment for the party.
Mr. McNally has served as Chairman of the Huntington Republican Committee since 2020. Under his tenure, the Committee has expanded its grassroots strength, built a highly effective volunteer network, and ensured Republican victories at all levels of town government. Republicans now hold seven out of the town’s eight elected seats, and for the first time since the 1950s, Huntington has an all-Republican Town Board.
Huntington is home to over 45,000 registered Republican voters, a testament to the strength of the party’s foundation and outreach in the community.
After the election, he expressed his deep gratitude for the committee’s continued trust.
“We win these elections with the hard grassroots work and dedication of our committee members and volunteers who are out getting signatures on petitions and knocking on doors to spread the word to the voters of Huntington,” said Mr. McNally. “I am honored to be re-elected and I look forward to working with the committee to ensure victory for our Republican candidates this November.”
This year, despite facing aggressive campaigns by outside special interest groups and Democrat-aligned forces, Mr. McNally, his leadership team, and the grassroots committee members not only held the line — they crushed it. The Republican ticket, featuring Supervisor Ed Smyth, Dr. Dave Bennardo, and Greg Grizopoulos, secured a resounding 61% of the vote, delivering a clear mandate from Huntington voters who chose leadership, integrity, and results.
Suffolk County Republican Chairman Jesse Garcia congratulated Chairman McNally on his re-election:
“Congratulations to Chairman McNally and his entire team on this well-deserved re-election,” said Suffolk County GOP Chairman Jesse Garcia. “Your unwavering commitment and bold leadership are shaping a stronger, more united future for Huntington. The momentum is real. The results speak for themselves. Let’s keep Huntington red!”
