As proud Republican Women of Huntington, we support the ideals of the Republican Party through active involvement in the political process -- working to engage, educate, and empower women to be candidates, leaders and activists at all levels of government. We hear from diverse & innovative speakers from around the community. We provide the training and resources to help local women make a difference in our community, state and country. Our group allows us to socialize with like-minded women, talk about ground-breaking political strategy, and build strong and lasting friendships.
In April, 1962, a group of Republican women met to create a club with the express purpose of supporting the Republican Party. They strongly believed that women should play a prominent role in politics and that they would work to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
For more than 50 years, this group of dedicated Republican women continues to grow. Republican Women of Huntington have worked for, and succeeded, in encouraging and supporting the candidacy of capable Republican women for public office. While doing this, they have continued to collect, analyze, report and disseminate information concerning governmental and political affairs to the public.
