Stephanie Bontempi is a 5th grade teacher and serves as Chairperson of the Town of Huntington Beautification Advisory Council.
Stephanie Bontempi has been a Huntington resident for almost to 30 years. She is an educator who has taught elementary education at Cold Spring Harbor CSD, East Woods School and most recently, at The Green Vale School in Old Brookville, where she has been teaching for the past 14 years. At The Green Vale School, Stephanie has received numerous accolades and recognition for her peer leadership, critical thinking, and academic outcomes. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Stephanie sits on the Admissions and DEI (Diversity Equity Inclusion) Committees. Through the years, Stephanie has been active in many local community and charitable organizations, including The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, the Townwide Fund of Huntington, and most recently as the Chairperson of the Town of Huntington Beautification Advisory Council.
Stephanie holds a B.S.B.A. in Economics/Finance from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, an M.S. in Elementary Education from C.W. Post, Long Island University, and an M.S. in Educational Technology from L.I.U. Post, Long Island University. In addition, Stephanie is fluent in Swedish and French and maintains dual citizenships (American & Swedish). She resides in Centerport with her husband and their youngest child. Her son practices law in North Carolina and her oldest daughter is in her second year at Notre Dame Law.
