Brooke Lupinacci Fails to Disclose Campaign Finances
Statement from Huntington Republican Committee:
As a former Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney who once prosecuted white collar criminals, Brooke Lupinacci should know better. The laws that govern our elections are not optional—and certainly not for those who once made a career out of holding others accountable.
Yet Ms. Lupinacci has now failed to timely file her required campaign financial disclosures for two consecutive reporting periods, in direct violation of New York State Election Law. These rules are not bureaucratic suggestions. They exist to ensure transparency, integrity, and public trust in our electoral system.
Ms. Lupinacci’s failure to comply with these basic requirements demonstrates a shocking sense of entitlement and disregard for the law. While she once stood in a courtroom insisting that “no one is above the law,” she now openly behaves as if those same rules do not apply to her.
The Huntington GOP condemns this conduct in the strongest possible terms. The people of Suffolk County deserve accountability—not hypocrisy—from those seeking public office. If Ms. Lupinacci cannot follow the laws that govern her own campaign, how can voters trust her to uphold the law on their behalf?
We call on the New York State Board of Elections to investigate this matter fully and pursue all appropriate penalties. The integrity of our democratic process demands no less.
