Pam has been a resident in the Town of Huntington for 15 years. She has over 18 years of teaching and administrative experience and has worked in a variety of settings ranging from private and charter schools to a financial firm. Earning a doctorate in Educational Leadership equipped Pamela with the administrative and leadership skills needed to transform organizations by applying an interdisciplinary approach. These skills along with her experience and educational background will be most beneficial in her role as Receiver of Taxes.

Pamela’s most recent leadership role at the Green Vale School was Dean of Academics where she established a Center for Teaching and Learning to encourage a culture of collaboration, trust, and exceptional teaching practice. Over the last few years, Pamela has been working as the Operations Manager at her husband’s estate planning and wealth management firm, The Legacy Group. She manages the daily operations for a team of advisors and specializes in client relationship services. In this role, she develops and implements systems and processes to manage workflow for maximum efficiency and ensures compliance regulations are followed. She also works in areas of marketing, communications, and brand management for the firm.

Through the years, Pamela has been very involved in the community. She served as a Council Delegate on the PTA at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School and contributes her time and resources to local food and toy drives. Two years ago, Pamela and her husband also founded a nonprofit organization called Sonrisa Foundation from which they support children and families in need.

Pamela holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Child Studies from Vanderbilt University, a M.A. and M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbia University, and an Ed.D in Interdisciplinary Studies in Educational Research from Long Island University. In addition, Pamela is fluent in Spanish. Pam and her husband Jeff live in Centerport, NY, with their two children, Nicolas and Isabella. Pam loves spending time with her family. They enjoy visiting Vermont in the fall to see the foliage and ski during the winter. Their lives are kept busy with two playful french bulldogs, Rocky and Lola.
