Judge Acquafredda, a life-long resident of Suffolk County, was appointed Suffolk County District Court Judge-3rd District, Huntington in February 2023.

Prior to her judicial appointment, for the past 19 years, she served as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting homicides, gang cases, and some of Long Island’s most serious crimes.

Judge Acquafredda rose through the ranks in the DA’s Office to ultimately serve as the DA’s District Court Bureau Chief, supervising the largest bureau in the office and training new prosecutors.

Following an exemplary career in the District Attorney’s Office, she served as the Principal Law Clerk to Family Court Judge/Acting Supreme Court Justice Joy M. Watson.

She is a member of both the Suffolk County Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association, and the Theodore Roosevelt Inn of Court.

Judge Acquafredda is a graduate of Georgetown University and St. John’s University School of Law.
